Description For Display Mechanical Engineer

Apple's Display Technologies group is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join their innovative team in creating next-generation display modules for future products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of consumer electronics, designing and developing mechanically robust displays with amazing performance.

The position involves working with world-class cross-functional teams and suppliers, focusing on mechanical design optimization, prototyping, and manufacturing processes. You'll be responsible for defining module mechanical architecture, implementing validation plans, and ensuring high-quality production standards.

As a Display Mechanical Engineer, you'll contribute to groundbreaking technologies while working with state-of-the-art mechanical designs. The role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience with 3D modeling software. Responsibilities For Display Mechanical Engineer

  • Design and develop innovative display modules for future products
  • Define module mechanical architecture based on cross-functional requirements
  • Work with system team to define product interface including fit, assembly features, and tolerance analyses
  • Achieve system goals through mechanical design optimization, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
  • Define & implement validation plans for ME characteristics
  • Act as focal point among cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Travel internationally (~15%, primarily Asia)

Requirements For Display Mechanical Engineer

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with mechanical engineering fundamentals including properties of materials, solid mechanics, beam statics, Newtonian physics, and thermodynamics
  • Experience with mechanical design & validation
  • 3D/2D software experience: 3D modeling (Pro/E, NX, CATIA, or Solidworks)
