Description For Energy Compliance Lab Engineer

Apple's Environmental Technologies team is seeking an Energy Compliance Lab Engineer to join their Hardware Engineering division. This role focuses on validating energy efficiency for Apple's hardware products through testing and analysis. The position offers an opportunity to work with world-leading programs addressing climate change impacts, resource conservation, and safer materials implementation.

As an Energy Compliance Lab Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting energy efficiency testing within Apple's Environmental Technologies Energy Efficiency Lab. You'll work closely with product compliance engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous testing and validation of energy efficiency performance across all product lines. The role requires strong debugging skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to process optimization.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $121,909 to $214,500, along with comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and various stock programs. You'll have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through discretionary restricted stock unit awards and participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in hardware product-related energy efficiency testing, with knowledge of standards like EU ErP Lot X/Lot 3, Battery Charging Systems, and Energy Star. Experience with test equipment operation, product disassembly, and creating detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
