Apple's Instrument Engineering team is seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to join their innovative hardware division. This role is part of a small, specialized team that designs and productizes Software Defined Radios and precision RF and Analog Test Equipment. These tools are crucial for testing, calibrating, and researching cellular, 5G, Satellite communications, WiFi, BT, mmWave, UWB, and NFC radios in millions of Apple devices including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches.
As a Firmware Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation wireless communication products, with a particular focus on Satellite communication technologies. You'll work with embedded systems running Linux, RTOS, and bare metal firmware, requiring deep expertise in C++ and C programming. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including RF system engineers, software engineers, DSP engineers, FPGA logic designers, and hardware engineers.
