Description For Foundry Interface Engineer – Analog / Display / Power Technologies

As a Foundry Interface Engineer at Apple, you'll be part of the Silicon Engineering group, working on cutting-edge ASIC design. You'll collaborate with design teams and provide technology support for key analog, display, and PMIC products. Your responsibilities include managing technical process collaboration with foundries, supporting product development and debugging, evaluating foundry deliverables, participating in technology development, and managing technology risks. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience in semiconductor process technology, and the ability to build crucial internal and external connections. You'll work in a dynamic environment, turning innovative ideas into reality and having a critical impact on getting functional products to millions of customers quickly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage technical process collaboration with foundries
  • Provide support for product development, tape out, and debug
  • Work closely with foundries on silicon process and product issues
  • Manage & evaluate foundry deliverables and drive improvements
  • Participate in technology development for PMIC / analog next-generation process technologies
  • Support new product introduction from design concept through production release
  • Assess device usage cases to ensure product reliability
  • Manage and mitigate technology risks for multiple projects in parallel
  • Build crucial internal and external connections at suppliers and within Apple

Requirements For Foundry Interface Engineer – Analog / Display / Power Technologies

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of CMOS and BCDMOS technologies, particularly in the field of Analog design
  • Experience working with PDKs and collateral, such as Spice models, DRM/DRC, LVS, RC tech files
  • Good data analysis, problem solving, and very strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and pragmatic execution of tasks
