iPad Hardware System Design Engineer

The iPad hardware team is seeking experienced hardware and signal integrity engineers for a unique position that spans from product concept to mass production. As an iPad Hardware System Design Engineer, you'll be at the center of iPad product development, applying your skills in high-speed signal integrity, hardware design, and system integration to create designs that impact millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical design, simulation, bringup, debug, and validation for iPads
• Factory build support
• Collaborating with multi-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment
• Potential international travel

You'll work closely with mechanical engineering, software, silicon engineering, and other module teams such as wireless, battery, camera, sensing, display, and factory test. This role offers the opportunity to own entire products from concept definition through shipping to customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong EE fundamentals (analog and digital design, signal/power integrity)
• Experience in high-speed Serdes design and analysis
• Familiarity with lab equipment and 3D/2D EM simulation tools
• Hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug, and validation
• Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
• Scripting skills for hardware development and data analysis
