Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer

Apple's Sensing, Data, and Interaction Software team is seeking a Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer to join their mission of delivering differentiating technologies for Human Interface Devices (HID) and Health Sensing software products. The ideal candidate will be a Signal Processing and Machine Learning expert with strong programming skills, passionate about innovation and collaboration.

Role Overview

• Part of the engineering team behind innovating, developing, enabling, and shipping HID and Health sensors features on Apple products
• Focus on developing and optimizing sensing algorithms and technologies
• Opportunity to work on customer-facing sensing technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement sensing algorithms and technologies
• Apply expertise in signal processing, machine learning, linear algebra, and statistics
• Optimize algorithms for on-device implementation
• Collaborate with passionate and inspiring peers to create extraordinary products and services

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including software programming skills in C, C++, and Python
• Experience in developing and optimizing sensing algorithms and technologies
• Expertise in signal processing, machine learning, linear algebra, and statistics
• Experience in algorithm optimization techniques for on-device implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing customer-facing sensing technologies
• Knowledge of machine learning and neural network frameworks, including model training and deployment
• Data modeling, augmentation, management, and handling skills
