Machine Learning Quality Assurance Manager

As an ML QA Manager at Apple, you will lead a team of ML QA engineers dedicated to evaluating the performance and quality of machine learning models used in photo and video editing features. Your role is crucial in maintaining high product standards by developing robust testing frameworks, leading testing efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing and developing a team of ML QA engineers
2. Planning and driving execution of testing for multiple development initiatives
3. Working closely with development teams to identify and understand key features
4. Coordinating cross-functional test efforts
5. Defining, hiring, and developing a world-class QA team
6. Staying current with video/image technologies and new testing techniques

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant management experience in ML-focused Software Quality Assurance
• Strong team-building skills
• Solid understanding of NLP, LLMs, and machine learning concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance multiple efforts and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Python and/or Swift
• Understanding of photography, video, and image processing algorithms
• Familiarity with iOS and macOS
