Description For Manager, Engineering Program Management - Strategic Data Solutions

Apple's Strategic Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced manager to lead technical programs and engineering project managers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and fraud prevention, where you'll help create and drive strategic roadmaps while coordinating quick tactical responses. The position involves managing a team of engineering project managers supporting the AMP mission.

The role focuses on addressing digital fraud while maintaining excellent customer experience. Given the adversarial nature of fraud, the team constantly innovates and draws from diverse perspectives to design and build new solutions. You'll gain deep understanding of physical fraud methods, service strategies, and systems to support and influence innovation.

As a manager, you'll lead a skilled team of program and project managers, machine learning engineers, software engineers, TFAs, and domain knowledge experts. Your work will directly impact security improvements, fraud mitigation, and efficiency optimization across Apple's warranty landscape. The position requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, technical, and analytical skills. You'll need to adapt communication styles effectively to partner with various stakeholders on business perspectives, engineering pipelines, and fraud logic.   • Lead and grow a team of highly skilled program managers and engineering project managers
  • Recognize, attract and develop talent
  • Support operations—managing business critical metrics by partnering with machine learning engineers
  • Get into the details on analytical projects and critical metrics
  • Help machine learning engineers, software engineers, and TFAs prioritize work
  • Build partnerships with key business and engineering leaders across multiple teams
  • Continually identify and drive opportunities for process improvement
  • Drive intra- and cross-team projects from inception through release and monitoring

Requirements For Manager, Engineering Program Management - Strategic Data Solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical, quantitative or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, finance or similar), or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience organizing and leading cross-functional technical projects
  • Demonstrable ability to think broadly about business, customer and system impact
