Description For MLB Product Engineer

Apple is seeking an MLB Product Engineer with excellent Electrical Engineering skills to work with Product Design, Test, Product Quality, Supplier Quality, Contract Manufacturers, and field organizations to deliver high quality systems. The role involves participating in new product introductions, driving key initiatives to improve future designs, managing MLB debug and failure analysis, and leading quality improvement teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in new product introductions with the highest technical quality
  • Driving initiatives to improve future designs, including board validation and stress testing
  • Managing MLB debug and failure analysis with various teams
  • Communicating program-related information to executive management
  • Leading quality improvement teams to enhance field performance
  • Participating in Field Failure Analysis efforts and DPPM reduction
  • Implementing systemic yield improvements and reporting
  • Conducting 8D-based improvements based on lessons learned

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design, test, debug, and integration of electronics into systems
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS/MS/PhD desired)
  • Familiarity with design and schematic tools
  • Knowledge of board and system electronic test strategies
  • Excellent skills in failure analysis of systems, circuits, and components
  • Strong technical root cause analysis abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in system manufacturing and transitioning new products into manufacturing
  • Proficiency in data mining and analysis methods

  • 7+ years experience in electrical design (ideally both digital and analog), electrical test, debug & integration of electronics into systems
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with design and schematic tools
  • Knowledge of board and system electronic test strategies
  • Excellence in organization, execution and program management in complex cross-functional projects
  • Skills in failure analysis of systems, circuits, and their components
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and high energy level
  • Familiarity with system manufacturing, SMT, and transitioning new products into manufacturing
  • Experience in data mining and data analysis methods
