Description For Reliability Engineer

Apple's Hardware Reliability Engineering team is seeking a passionate and innovative Reliability Engineer to work with diverse hardware development groups. You'll be involved in the full product development phase, from concept to field returns, ensuring and improving the durability and reliability of Apple products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new reliability test procedures and specifications
  • Preparing detailed test plans and analyzing test reports
  • Presenting methodologies, results, and risk assessments
  • Researching new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms
  • Guiding design and collaborating with various groups to enhance product reliability
  • Conducting statistical analysis for design risk assessments using tools like Weibull++, JMP, and Tableau
  • Advocating for reliability throughout the development process

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field or industry
  • Passion for improving customer experience
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and balance workload
  • Experience in reliability testing, statistical analysis, and failure analysis techniques
