Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Object Storage

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Object Storage. This role involves supporting and maintaining object store orchestration services, developing SRE tools, improving service lifecycles, analyzing logs and telemetry data, participating in on-call rotations, troubleshooting during service impacts, and collaborating with teams across multiple geographically dispersed public and private clouds. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate applications at scale to support Apple's mission-critical internal efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, run, and support SRE tools and applications
• Improve service lifecycles from inception through deployment and refinement
• Analyze logs and telemetry data, write monitoring and automation code
• Participate in on-call and release manager rotations
• Provide technical expertise during service-impacting events
• Engage in code reviews and process enhancements
• Operate applications at scale across multiple cloud environments
• Collaborate with dependent teams and customers

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused roles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Linux OS, networking protocols, and components
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure provisioning tools
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
