Senior SRE Manager, iCloud

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Senior SRE Manager for iCloud. This role involves leading and growing SRE teams responsible for the reliability and performance of on-prem and cloud-based services that support iCloud. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems and a strong background in SRE principles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing staging and production environments to maximize availability
• Promoting observability for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting
• Advocating best practices in reliability engineering
• Leading and developing engineering teams

The role requires deep technical skills and the ability to focus on higher-level business and product goals. The successful candidate will influence millions of customers' experiences with Apple services, ensuring extraordinary availability, scalability, and security.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience with large scale distributed systems
• Proven success leading engineering teams, ideally in SRE or Production Engineering
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and systems management
• Understanding of SRE principles and concepts
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• 10+ years professional experience in an engineering leadership position

Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent field
