Senior Technical Architect, ASE Storage

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead the development and strategy of their Storage team. This is a critical role working on exabyte-scale distributed storage systems and enterprise storage solutions that provide the foundation of data storage across Apple.

The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who can partner effectively with cross-functional teams to drive product vision and roadmap. You'll work with senior ICs and managers across different locations to deliver features from inception through production deployment. Your work will directly impact hundreds of millions of users and be essential for current and future Apple features.

Key responsibilities include:

• Forming trusted partnerships with distributed teams to advance the product roadmap
• Leading end-to-end feature delivery from planning through production
• Making technical strategy trade-offs while maintaining big picture perspective
• Mentoring and growing engineering talent while preserving team culture
• Collaborating across EPM, SRE, Customer Success, and Product teams

The role requires deep technical expertise in distributed systems and storage, with 15+ years of software engineering experience. You should have strong communication skills and a proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring. Experience with high-scale, mission-critical platforms and distributed storage systems is highly valued.
