Senior Visual Generative Modeling Research Engineer, SIML

The System Intelligence and Machine Learning (SIML) organization at Apple is seeking a Senior Visual Generative Modeling Research Engineer to help build the next generation of experiences and capabilities in Apple Intelligence. This role is part of the core team that developed foundational image generation technologies behind Image Playground, Genmoji, Image Wand, and Photos Clean Up experiences shipped with iOS 18.2.

As a technology leader in this role, you will:

• Focus on visual generative modeling for applications including stylized and identity-preserving image/video generation, editing, and avatar generation
• Train and deploy large-scale, generative ML-based features and workflows
• Work cross-functionally with ML researchers, software engineers, hardware & design teams
• Ensure quality, fairness, and model robustness in the field
• Design and implement state-of-the-art conditional visual generative models
• Translate product requirements into actionable ML research and development plans
• Deploy compact neural architectures efficiently on device
• Develop privacy-preserving personalization capabilities

• Training large-scale visual generative models like diffusion models
• Distributed ML training and efficient on-device deployment
• Python and C++ programming
