We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive software release management and release quality for the Private Cloud Compute software that powers Apple Intelligence. This role involves:

  • Driving processes and best practices to develop, build, qualify, and release high-quality software to internal and external audiences
  • Managing and communicating program/release schedules with clear dependencies, driving alignment across the organization
  • Driving on-time development and delivery, establishing checkpoints, and re-planning as events warrant
  • Identifying release blockers, working with teams to deliver timely resolutions, and managing overall change control processes
  • Providing clear, timely, and objective communication, including updates on program status and critical issues to the executive team

This is not a task-based job; you are accountable for delivering successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management, experience with cloud architecture and deployment, and excellent communication skills.

Key qualifications include:

  • Detailed understanding of Apple's processes for operating system software planning, development, build & integration, qualification, and release
  • Ability to facilitate and drive technical discussions
  • Technical proficiency in cloud architecture, development and deployment, databases, build & release systems, with bonus points for past programming experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or deep relevant industry experience
