Apple's Wireless System Engineering team is seeking an engineer to work on radiated system characterization and algorithm validation across different cellular technologies for Apple's wireless products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and focuses on:
- Validating OTA Cellular test cases for carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.
- Translating industry conformance, regulatory, and carrier specification requirements into test cases.
- Defining and executing validation plans for custom SW features.
- Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams and driving design changes.
- Maintaining test setups and executing final radiated certification testing at 3rd party labs.
The ideal candidate should have:
- BS degree in a technical discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience (MS preferred).
- Experience with antenna design/tests, wave propagation, anechoic chambers, and radiation performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as network analyzers, signal generators, and call boxes.
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/LTE, 5G mmWave).
- Experience with carrier/industry conformance radiated performance requirements.
- Programming skills in C, C++, Python, etc.
