Description For Wireless SoC Design Engineer

Come join Apple's wireless silicon development team as a Wireless SoC Design Engineer. Our team is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development, focusing on energy-efficient design and innovative technologies that enhance user experience. We are a world-class vertically integrated engineering team covering RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC design, VLSI/RTL design, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, and FW/SW engineering.

As a SoC Design Engineer, you'll work on critical aspects of wireless silicon development, from microarchitecture definition to RTL design implementation. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs, optimize power and performance, and ensure timing requirements are met. The role requires strong technical skills in digital design, SoC architecture, and HDL languages.

The position offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $143,100 to $264,200, plus additional benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, stock programs, and education reimbursement. Responsibilities For Wireless SoC Design Engineer

  • Work with leads and architecture team to define the design microarchitecture
  • Develop RTL design of blocks following established design guidelines
  • Own all aspects of RTL development design
  • Integrate common/shared IP blocks and optimize memories/hard macros
  • Complete front-end synthesis/STA to ensure timing requirements are met
  • Optimize power/performance
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups

Requirements For Wireless SoC Design Engineer

  • BS with 3+ years relevant experience
  • Familiarity with the ASIC design flow
  • Knowledge of digital design, SoC architecture, and HDL languages like Verilog
  • Experience with AXI/AHB bus fabric and processor sub-systems (preferred)
  • Understanding of UPF and low-power design & implementation techniques (preferred)
  • Self-starter and willingness to learn
