Wireless Systems Algorithm Design Engineer

Apple's wireless SOC organization is seeking a talented Wireless Systems Algorithm Design Engineer to join their growing wireless silicon development team. This role is at the heart of silicon design and bring-up, focusing on wireless system design for innovative SoC products.

The position involves developing next-generation wireless communication systems, creating novel algorithms, protocols, and architectures for enhanced performance and reliability. You'll work in cross-functional teams with RF/analog, hardware, software, and platform designers to shape the future of wireless technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement innovative wireless communication systems
• Create and validate system models for performance optimization
• Develop algorithms for RF/circuit impairment mitigation
• Collaborate with digital and firmware designers for efficient implementation
• Hands-on lab work with silicon bring-up and optimization

Required Qualifications:

• BS with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong background in physical layer core algorithms
• Expertise in signal processing and communication theory
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Matlab
• Knowledge of wireless protocols (5G, WiFi, Bluetooth)

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS/PhD preferred
• Experience with hardware-friendly algorithm design
• Knowledge of modem and microprocessor architecture
• Expertise in lab equipment and silicon testing
