Description For Embedded Software Engineer

Aptiv, a global leader in automotive technology, is expanding its footprint in Monterrey within Advanced Safety and User Experience Engineering. This role is part of their embedded engineering team, focusing on developing innovative solutions for safer, greener, and more connected transportation. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and validating base software modules for automotive applications, particularly in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and Compute and Security and User Experience products.

The position requires strong expertise in embedded systems development, with a focus on automotive software development following Automotive SPICE compliance. You'll be working on critical systems that directly impact vehicle safety and user experience, using tools like Vector DaVinci for implementation and troubleshooting. The role combines technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration, requiring both strong programming skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Develop software for active safety or body control production projects
  • Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems
  • Work closely with component teams on interfaces and dependencies
  • Triage issues reported from stakeholders
  • Design and implement internal and customer diagnostics SW
  • Perform static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Ensure Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety process compliance

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at once
  • Familiar with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
  • Cross functional interests and self-driven attitude
