Description For Applied AI Engineer

Arondite, a defense technology company, is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their mission of revolutionizing autonomous systems and sensor technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, robotics, and defense technology, making a significant impact on critical systems.

The position requires 4+ years of experience in machine learning, with a focus on robotics and computer vision. You'll be working on cutting-edge problems in scene understanding, multi-modal sensing, control and path planning, and vision-language understanding. The role offers substantial autonomy and the chance to directly influence product direction from day one.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing robust deep learning models, integrating them with hardware systems, and collaborating with mechanical and software engineers.   • Experience with cutting edge computer vision and robotics research
  • Proficiency in Python, Rust, C/C++ or Java, and experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow or JAX
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document work effectively
  • Must be eligible for UK security clearance (SC) with 5 years continuous UK residency
  • Proficiency in robotics and/or computer vision
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in ML research and application
