Software Engineer

Asda, a major UK retailer processing £300m in weekly transactions, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Engineering Excellence team. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and supporting Jira & Confluence while contributing to DevSecOps practices. The position offers a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days in the Leeds office.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in increasing efficiency and agility across engineering teams, enabling them to deliver quality, secure features for customers at reduced costs. You'll report to the Engineering Manager and contribute through design, build, and implementation activities while collaborating with multiple engineering teams across the department.

Key responsibilities include managing Atlassian tools, developing system-wide customizations, implementing DevOps processes, and championing best practices in code quality and testing. The role requires expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, along with strong experience in CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
