Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Focus

Astronomer, the company behind the industry-leading unified DataOps platform Astro powered by Apache Airflow®, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with an infrastructure focus. This role is part of the dataplane management team, which is responsible for designing, building, and managing the infrastructure that powers customer workloads across hundreds of Kubernetes clusters.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure at scale, developing features for core infrastructure such as workload identity, multitenancy, cross-region disaster recovery, and cloud quota management. You'll be directly involved in building and scaling Astro, their flagship product that enables sophisticated data orchestration for major enterprises worldwide.

The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in building and operating large-scale SaaS infrastructures, with expertise in languages like Golang or Java. Knowledge of distributed systems, particularly Kubernetes, is highly valued, as is the ability to design secure, scalable systems that can integrate with various customer environments.
