Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Focus

Astronomer, the company behind the industry-leading Astro DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with an infrastructure focus. This role is part of the dataplane management team, which designs, builds, and owns the infrastructure running customer workloads. You'll be working on software that manages hundreds (eventually thousands) of Kubernetes clusters across clouds, focusing on critical features like workload identity, multitenancy, disaster recovery, and private network access.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, building solutions that enable data orchestration for some of the world's largest companies. The role requires expertise in languages like Golang or Java, strong understanding of distributed systems (particularly Kubernetes), and experience with complex SaaS infrastructures.
