This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to protect our customers and business assets. You'll be part of a world-class team obsessed with protecting customer trust, working hands-on with computer networks, servers, applications, and data assets.
The position requires deep security engineering knowledge, including application security reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability research. You'll collaborate closely with development teams at both Audible and Amazon, focusing on enhancing security tooling and functionality at scale. The role involves conducting design reviews, threat modeling, and security assessments of production systems.
As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing security review methodologies, partnering with service teams on risk remediation, and providing guidance on security best practices. You'll also participate in third-party security risk assessments and help secure external partnerships.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant experience, strong technical skills in security tools and programming languages, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Audible Security
- Design, implement, and execute security review and test methodologies
- Partner with service teams to ensure risks are remediated
- Conduct design review, threat modeling, security review, and penetration testing
- Collaborate with internal development teams to enhance security tooling
- Prepare and present technical information
- Participate in third party security risk assessments
- Provide guidance on risk, compliance, and policy
Requirements For Security Engineer, Audible Security
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in application security reviews, security engineering, security analysis, incident response
- Experience in using standard Security Assessment and Penetration Testing tools such as BurpSuite
- Experience with information security principles and Common Body of Knowledge domains
- Experience in advocating security best practices for third party integrations
