Auria, a leading provider of space and security solutions, is seeking a System Engineer III for their Sentinel program in Colorado Springs. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the nation's next-generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, providing three-day weekends every other week, and requires 100% on-site presence.
As a Senior Level System Engineer, you'll join an Agile Scrum Team supporting the Command & Launch segment and Command and Control Software Team. Your responsibilities will include leading technical software requirements, mentoring team members, and driving execution of major program initiatives. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies including MBSE, Python, C++, and various software development tools.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of system engineering experience, strong technical leadership abilities, and expertise in software development. Responsibilities For System Engineer III
- Lead management of C2 technical software requirements baseline
- Mentor C2 Software Team members in agile software requirements development
- Drive technical execution in support of major program events
- Resolve high-level systems challenges
- Support strategic initiatives on tools, processes, and cross-segment technical reviews
- Perform requirements analysis and verification
- Interface with subject matter experts to capture Sentinel Node structure
- Apply engineering principles to design components and systems
- Develop technical content for presentations
- Maintain design documentation
- Support MBSE strategy and implementation
- Support requirement decomposition, derivation, and traceability
Requirements For System Engineer III
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline
- 15+ years of experience as a System Engineer
- US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance
- Experience with C++, Python, Bash, Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience with Cameo, DOORs, and MBSE
- Must be able to obtain and maintain enhanced security clearance
