Description For DevSecOps Engineer

Authentic8 is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their Security & Reliability Operations (SRO) team, working on their industry-leading Silo for Research platform that enables secure digital investigations across the surface, deep, and dark web. This role represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity and reliability engineering for a platform trusted by over 700 customers worldwide.

The position splits time between the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) and broader engineering responsibilities, combining real-time monitoring and incident response with platform improvement and security hardening. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for safeguarding service availability, security, and compliance while working in a mission-driven environment that emphasizes automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.

The role offers a compelling blend of hands-on technical work and strategic impact, requiring expertise in Linux systems, security frameworks, and modern DevOps tools. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology stacks including Grafana, Icinga, and GitLab, while implementing security best practices aligned with FedRAMP, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS standards.

This is an ideal opportunity for a security-minded engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a direct impact on national security and law enforcement capabilities. The position offers competitive compensation ($110,000 - $140,000 plus bonus and equity) and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and flexible PTO.

The company culture emphasizes integrity, mission focus, and collaboration, with core values that promote innovation and ownership. As part of a tight-knit team, you'll have opportunities for cross-training and skill development across both security and reliability domains. The role is fully remote within the United States, offering flexibility while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
