Autodesk is seeking a dedicated Prerelease Supportability Engineer to join their Customer Technical Success team, focusing on Desktop Connector products. This role bridges the gap between technical support and product development, ensuring pre-release products meet customer needs and maintain high supportability standards. The position combines technical expertise with customer success, requiring 3-5 years of experience and a strong background in technical support or product management.

The role involves close collaboration with Product Engineering, Product Management, and Insights teams to identify and mitigate technical issues, develop documentation, and improve product supportability. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer feedback, developing troubleshooting guides, and participating in pre-release testing processes.

Responsibilities For Prerelease Supportability Engineer - Desktop Connector

  • Act as primary liaison between Customer Technical Success and Product Engineering, Product Management, and Insights teams
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to identify potential technical issues in pre-release products
  • Work with Product Management to understand product roadmaps and feature sets
  • Analyze customer feedback and support trends
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for pre-release products
  • Partner with Enablement to develop learning content
  • Monitor and report on pre-release products performance
  • Participate in pre-release testing and validation processes
  • Contribute to supportability metrics and KPIs development
  • Foster collaboration across teams involved in pre-release product development

Requirements For Prerelease Supportability Engineer - Desktop Connector

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical support, product management, or related role
  • Strong technical background with complex product understanding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Data analysis capabilities
  • Experience with development lifecycles and agile principles
  • Familiarity with supportability metrics and KPIs
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Autodesk products (preferred)
  • Project Management certification (preferred)
