Description For Sales Engineer

Axon is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their mission of protecting life and accelerating justice. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, supporting the sales campaign across the European region. The ideal candidate will be highly personable and technically curious, serving as a trusted advisor for Axon's globally leading solutions.

The position involves working with Software as a Service (SaaS), on-premise software, and networking solutions. You'll be part of the EMEA Sales Engineering Team, focusing on evidence capture devices and digital evidence management solutions for Public Safety Agencies. This is a quota-carrying role that requires significant travel (70%) and fluency in both Dutch and English.

The role demands a strong technical background with at least 8 years of experience in sales engineering or related fields. You'll need expertise in various technical areas including digital video, mobile communications, IP engineering, and cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS and Azure. The position offers the opportunity to influence product development and work with cutting-edge technology in the public safety sector.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Support technical and value aspects of sales effort across territory
  • Deliver technical presentations, architecture design discussions, and solution demonstrations
  • Lead RFP/RFI responses and proof-of-concept engagements
  • Support transition of sales opportunities into successful delivery
  • Present at industry events
  • Document customer feature requests and provide feedback to product management
  • Execute customer site assessments
  • Transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers and colleagues
  • Proactively plan to prevent pre and post sales issues

Requirements For Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Valid Passport and Clean Driving License
  • 8+ years experience as Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Network Engineer
  • Knowledge in Digital Video, Mobile communications, IP Engineering, IP security, Embedded Systems, IAM, SAAS
  • Strong understanding of CCTV systems, VMS, network technologies and IP stack
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Fluent Native Dutch and excellent English language skills
  • Experience in data integration and data analysis
  • Willing to travel significantly (70%), some international travel
