Senior Backend Engineer

Backbase is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in Cardiff. This role focuses on integrating the Backbase platform into customer systems through hands-on development and client collaboration. The position requires extensive travel (approximately 6-month implementations) to work directly with customer developers on-site. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for writing high-quality code, conducting testing, and serving as a technical expert for backend-related matters. The role combines technical expertise in Java, Spring, and Microservices with client-facing responsibilities including training and coaching developers. You'll work in an Agile environment, handling high-pressure situations and meeting demanding customer expectations.
