Software Engineer III - GMI System

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Software Engineer III to join their Global Markets Technology group within the Global Banking and Markets Technology division. This role is part of the Futures & Options team, focusing on the GMI system that supports Middle and Back Office markets operations across various financial products.

The position requires an experienced professional who can manage and deliver complex requirements while ensuring software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance standards. You'll be working with a long-established team of experienced professionals, contributing to the maintenance and evolution of critical financial systems.

As a Software Engineer III, you'll be responsible for end-to-end management of complex projects across multiple business units. Key responsibilities include developing solutions, mentoring other engineers, implementing CI/CD practices, and providing subject matter expertise for the GMI application. You'll also be involved in a strategic initiative to evaluate NextGen products for potentially replacing the GMI application.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in AS400 systems and RPG programming, combined with project management skills and deep knowledge of the GMI system. You'll work in a collaborative environment, partnering with various stakeholders including F&O Business, Marketing, Client Solutions, and Operations teams.
