Staff Software Engineer, Onchain DevX

Base.org is at the forefront of blockchain technology, with an ambitious mission to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. As a Staff Software Engineer in the Developer Experience (DevX) team's Onchain Pod, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of onchain development.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of blockchain technology and developer tooling. You'll be responsible for leading the Onchain Pod, architecting solutions that make onchain development more accessible and efficient, both for Coinbase's internal teams and the broader crypto ecosystem. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in smart contracts, EVM, and modern cloud infrastructure.

Your impact will be significant as you drive the evolution of Web3 development towards Web2-level tooling and reliability. You'll work closely with Engineering and Security stakeholders to identify and solve pain points in the onchain development lifecycle. The role requires a balance of technical excellence, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the blockchain ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial expertise in smart contract deployments and blockchain technologies. You should be passionate about enabling onchain development and have a track record of building developer tools and infrastructure. Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code is essential.

This is a remote position within the USA, offering competitive compensation ($218,025 - $256,500) plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), bonus, and equity.
