Description For SOFTWARE ENGINEER - DATA SYSTEMS

Beyond Sports is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Data Systems to join their innovative sports technology team in Alkmaar, Netherlands. This role sits at the intersection of sports and technology, focusing on building the core infrastructure that powers their sports tracking platform.

The position involves architecting high-performance systems capable of processing and managing substantial amounts of real-time sports tracking data. You'll be responsible for creating efficient data pipelines, designing scalable data structures, and ensuring seamless integration between various system components. Working closely with Game Developers, Data Scientists, and other specialists, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the platform's data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in software engineering, demonstrated through a BSc or MSc degree or equivalent qualification. Expertise in C# and .NET Core is essential, along with the ability to handle large-scale projects in version control systems. The role requires someone who can tackle complex architectural challenges while maintaining high standards for code quality and system performance.

Responsibilities For SOFTWARE ENGINEER - DATA SYSTEMS

  • Create efficient pipelines to handle large amounts of sports tracking data
  • Architect and maintain a modular codebase that's built to scale
  • Extend libraries for enhancing, validating and improving sports tracking data
  • Collaborate with developers, artists, and data engineers
  • Guide and mentor other developers
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies
  • Review teammates code and give constructive feedback
  • Contribute to culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence

Requirements For SOFTWARE ENGINEER - DATA SYSTEMS

  • BSc or MSc in Software engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Expertise in C# and .NET Core

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
