Responsibilities For Camera and Optical Sensors Development Engineer

  • Collaborate in development of camera and optical sensor hardware for guidance, navigation, and control
  • Design imaging optics, image quality analysis, tolerance analysis, and stray-light analysis
  • Support design, fabrication, test and characterization of prototype hardware
  • Lead procurement, vendor coordination, delivery, and qualification of component hardware
  • Support component-level test programs and sensor characterization
  • Contribute to image signal processing methods implementation

Requirements For Camera and Optical Sensors Development Engineer

Python
Rust
  • B.S. in Imaging Science, Physics, Electrical engineering, Optical engineering, or related areas
  • 7+ years of experience with cameras, image sensors, and precision opto-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience in development and testing of cameras or remote sensing systems
  • Knowledge of optical imaging system components and characterization
  • Experience with optical system design tools like Zemax OpticStudio
  • Experience in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Rust, or other programming languages
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
