Data Lineage Developer

Bounteous, a leading digital transformation consultancy with over 4,000 team members globally, is seeking a Data Lineage Developer to join their team in Montreal. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and governance, focusing on building and maintaining robust data lineage frameworks across complex systems. The position offers a hybrid work environment and requires 3+ years of development experience.

The ideal candidate will work on implementing solutions to track and catalog data flows across various systems including MongoDB, Snowflake, and traditional relational databases. They will collaborate with data governance teams to ensure proper integration with Collibra and maintain compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with strategic thinking about data governance. The successful candidate will need strong skills in Python/Java, SQL, and data modeling, along with excellent communication abilities to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will be responsible for designing automation tools, monitoring data quality, and creating comprehensive documentation for business users and technical teams.
