As a Principal Engineering Program Manager at Broadcom, you will play a crucial role in enabling and driving the process for software delivery, focusing on delivering enterprise software of the highest quality in VMware Tanzu. This role is centered on program management for Tanzu Application Service, Broadcom's flagship product, and its ecosystem.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing short-term, tactical details of product releases, ensuring visibility and control.
- Working towards long-term goals of building sustainable software development and release processes.
- Creating mechanisms for engineering and product management teams to track progress and identify paths to achieve goals.
- Owning project management tool choices and processes, including Jira administration.
- Collaborating with adjacent product teams and partners to ensure alignment with release processes.
- Connecting team goals to overall Business Unit and Tanzu Broadcom Objectives.
- Understanding distributed systems and Tanzu products to communicate technical direction and strategy.
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on projects from initiation through delivery.
- Managing risk mitigation for projects involving integration planning as VMware adopts Broadcom's tools and processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience, or an MS degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Relevant certificates in Agile Project Management.
- 1+ year of experience as a Jira administrator for projects.
