As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Research and develop innovative new solutions that will help to shape the future direction of Broadcom.
- Work within a scrum team in an agile development environment, with an opportunity to gain exposure to many of the key agile roles.
- Design and code functionality for enterprise-level products that meet functional and business requirements.
- Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers.
- Participate in test plan reviews and develop automated test scripts to deliver high quality software solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Prior experience as a developer in a Scrum team.
- Expertise in the following: C, C++, COBOL, z/OS Language Environment (LE), IBM Assembler
- Knowledge and related product expertise in one or more of the following: CICS, DB2, IMS, z/OSMF, SMP/E, IPCS
- Knowledge, related experience and related product expertise in one or more of the following: WebSphere Liberty, TCP/IP, IBM MQ.
- Experience in designing DB2 applications, Gen (aka CA Gen/Cool Gen) experience preferred.
Additional skills that will benefit your efforts:
- Experience with one or more of the following: ISPF CLIST, REXX, JCL, PL/1.
- Knowledge and related product expertise in one or more of the following: Docker and Containers, SNA, Host Integration Server
