Built Mighty / Little Rhino is seeking a passionate WooCommerce/WordPress Developer to join their remote team of 20 professionals across the US. This role offers a unique blend of technical challenges and work-life balance, with flexible scheduling options including 5-hour workdays or 4-day work weeks.

The position involves developing and maintaining WordPress and WooCommerce stores for small businesses, requiring strong attention to detail and expertise in handling growing e-commerce platforms. As a developer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, working closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of development experience, with at least 2 years specifically in WordPress and WooCommerce. Strong backend development skills are essential, along with proficiency in PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, and Git. Experience with Laravel is considered a plus. The role requires expertise in software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with modern development tools like GitHub Codespaces and Docker.

Responsibilities For WooCommerce / WordPress Developer and Troubleshooter

  • Collaborate with development team to plan and implement features
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Test and debug software
  • Deliver accurate estimates for work
  • Debug issues in high-risk situations
  • Maintain communication with developers, project managers, and clients
  • Meet with clients during discovery phase
  • Ensure proper documentation through GitHub and Jira
  • Escalate issues to Development Lead, Project Manager, or clients
