Sr Principal Design Engineer

Cadence, a leading global electronic design automation company, is seeking a Senior Principal Design Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role represents an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of semiconductor design verification, focusing on UCIe PHY IP implementation.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience who will lead design verification execution and drive technical innovation in verification methodologies. You'll be responsible for architecting verification environments, leading internal DV teams, and working cross-functionally with RTL, AMS system modeling, and PD teams.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work, requiring expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM methodology, and various verification approaches including Co-Simulation, UPF Power Aware Simulations, and Formal Verification. The ideal candidate will have experience with serial bus multiprotocol PHY IPs, with UCIE or SerDes IP experience being particularly valuable.
