As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Cantina, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing advanced AI models that power lifelike AI bots capable of engaging across the internet. This role offers exciting challenges in conversational AI, speech recognition, image processing, and video generation.
You'll be responsible for proposing, designing, and prototyping strategic new ML features, implementing and fine-tuning ML models, and owning their implementation with considerations for model size, performance, and latency. Collaboration with other teams, launching and monitoring ML models via A/B testing, and leveraging academic research to advance the state of the art are key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience building production-grade machine learning models, strong programming skills in Python and deep-learning/NLP tools, and experience with scalable ML infrastructure. Knowledge in NLP, speech recognition, image generation and processing, and video generation is a huge plus.
Cantina offers a competitive salary range of $175,000-$250,000, along with excellent benefits including fully paid health insurance premiums, a $500 monthly stipend, generous PTO, 401(k), parental leave, and equity. Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Propose, design, and prototype strategic new ML features that power the product
- Implement novel and fine tune existing ML models to solve real-world problems and leverage data to evaluate and improve their quality
- Own the implementation of your models, taking into account considerations like model size, performance, and latency
- Collaborate with other teams to help them integrate ML models into other pipelines and experiences
- Launch and monitor the deployment of ML models via A/B testing and respond to issues that arise from user feedback and telemetry
- Leverage academic research to ensure that our technology continues to reflect and advance the state of the art
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade machine learning models in industry and/or academic research settings
- Strong programming skills in Python and deep-learning / NLP tools and frameworks (Scikit-learn, Pandas, PyTorch, Tensorflow, NLTK, spaCy, Jupyter)
- Demonstrated interest in generative AI frameworks like diffusers, comfyUI and/or A1111 webUI
- Experience building end-to-end scalable ML infrastructure with on-premise or cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
- Strong teamwork skills including communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members
