Description For Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Chevron is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This senior-level position requires 10-15 years of experience and plays a crucial role in designing and developing AI/ML models that drive business value.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in both machine learning and software engineering. As a Lead ML Engineer, you'll be responsible for transforming data science prototypes into production-ready solutions, working with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks including Python, Kubernetes, and Azure ML services.

The position offers an opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale machine learning problems in the energy sector. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and business professionals, while also providing mentorship to junior team members.

Key technical requirements include strong experience with Python, machine learning frameworks, container technologies, and cloud platforms (particularly Azure). Responsibilities For Lead Machine Learning Engineer

  • Transform data science prototypes into production environment solutions
  • Orchestrate and configure infrastructure for machine learning workloads
  • Create advanced AI/ML models combining mathematics, statistics, and computer science
  • Collaborate with AI Technical Manager and GCC Petro-technical professionals

Requirements For Lead Machine Learning Engineer

  • 10-15 years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Object Oriented Design/Functional Programming in Python
  • Experience with containers and container management (docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience implementing machine learning frameworks and libraries such as MLflow
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Services and Azure Machine Learning SDK
  • Working knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms
