Chevron ENGINE is seeking a Reservoir Engineering and Simulation Development Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role combines software development expertise with petroleum engineering knowledge, focusing on enhancing Chevron's Reservoir Simulation and Optimization workflows. The position involves developing and deploying cutting-edge simulation software, working with cloud platforms, and implementing machine learning solutions.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work with US-based R&D groups, developing proprietary and vendor products that drive Chevron's technological advancement in reservoir simulation. You'll be responsible for creating user interfaces, implementing data management solutions, and maintaining cloud-based applications. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in software development (Python, C#, C++) and domain knowledge in petroleum engineering.

Responsibilities For Reservoir Engineering and Simulation Development Engineer

  • Teaming with US-based R&D groups focusing on developing and deploying reservoir simulation and optimization products and workflows
  • Targeted user-experience and data management development
  • Application testing, pipeline, build and release in cloud platform

Requirements For Reservoir Engineering and Simulation Development Engineer

Python
  • BSc/MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering or related areas
  • At least three years of experience in Petroleum Engineering or related industry
  • Demonstrated fluency in engineering software development, including python, C#, C++, HPC
  • Understanding of physical process associated with subsurface flow
  • Understanding of subsurface uncertainty analysis and optimization technologies
  • Ability to integrate reservoir simulation & optimization workflows
  • Experience of customer support and understanding of subsurface business needs
  • Good communication skills and work effectively in a team environment
