Description For Software Engineer

Chevron, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, is seeking a Software Engineer for their Business Support Center (BASSC) in Buenos Aires. This role is part of a successful multifunction service center with over 1500 employees delivering global business services and solutions. The position focuses on the entire software development lifecycle, particularly designing and developing new software solutions. The role involves working with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, Power Platform, and Azure, while supporting trading compliance applications and core trading systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical skills in SQL, cloud technologies, and low-code platforms, combined with excellent communication abilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex business IT problems in a global energy company, with responsibilities spanning from software deployment to system integration and automation. The role is based at the modern Madero Office location in Buenos Aires, where you'll be part of a dynamic team supporting critical business operations.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer

  • Participate in deploying software across different environments using standard software engineering and DevOps practices
  • Debug and fix issues by applying programming concepts & patterns
  • Build and support low code solutions
  • Manage and automate application testing suites
  • Build and enhance integrations with core trading systems
  • Design, build and maintain PowerPlatform tools
  • Support Trading Compliance functions

Requirements For Software Engineer

TypeScript
Node.js
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET, Power Platform, SQL Server)
  • SQL coding ability - complex queries, stored procedures & tables
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
