Description For Business Operations Manager

We are the Common Hardware Group (CHG) delivering the silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco's core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. We design the networking hardware for customers around the world. CHG silicon chips, optical modules, and full hardware systems solve for a range of demanding use cases from access points for a medium size business, to an enterprise data center, and the largest of hyperscale AI workloads. We are a team passionate about technology, and have aspiring goals, and love to win as a team.

You will be a leading member of the newly established CHG Business Operations and Planning team. In this role, you will partner closely with key departments, including engineering, silicon operations, finance, people and culture (P&C), and Cisco operations, fostering cross-functional partnerships to drive key initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in establishing and improving the operational rigor within the organizations of CHG to enable engineering to accelerate innovation, deliver on a driven set of commitments, and ramp our business to production on time with quality. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and finance, to define operational goals and implement strategies that enhance efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Overseeing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Conducting regular status meetings to provide updates to senior management and stakeholders, and supporting the development and execution of business plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and performance metrics.

You are a strategic problem solver with a passion for operational excellence and a deep understanding of the tech industry. With a strong analytical mentality, you thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a proven ability to demonstrate data-driven insights to drive decision-making. You excel at building cross-functional relationships and collaborating with diverse teams to implement innovative solutions that improve productivity and efficiency. A natural leader, you encourage those around you to achieve shared goals and embrace continuous improvement.
