Responsibilities For High Speed System Application Engineer

  • Develop and execute electrical characterization testing for high-speed interconnect devices
  • Support characterization, validation, compliance, and system integration of Silicon One devices
  • Work with ASIC, system, and signal integrity team to evaluate design tradeoffs
  • Develop automation and analysis tools for lab measurements
  • Drive methodology development for Cisco's high-speed solutions
  • Work with Design, Signal Integrity, Routing SW/HW, SDK, and Production teams

Requirements For High Speed System Application Engineer

Python
  • MSEE or Computer Engineering degree with 4+ years of lab experience, or BSEE with 7+ years experience
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with high-speed interface systems and lab measurements
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces and analog building blocks
  • Programming knowledge in Python and C/C++
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.3 and OIF specifications
  • Experience with Signal integrity, DSP, and communication systems
