Responsibilities For High Speed System Application Engineer
- Develop and execute electrical characterization testing for high-speed interconnect devices
- Support characterization, validation, compliance, and system integration of Silicon One devices
- Work with ASIC, system, and signal integrity team to evaluate design tradeoffs
- Develop automation and analysis tools for lab measurements
- Drive methodology development for Cisco's high-speed solutions
- Work with Design, Signal Integrity, Routing SW/HW, SDK, and Production teams
Requirements For High Speed System Application Engineer
- MSEE or Computer Engineering degree with 4+ years of lab experience, or BSEE with 7+ years experience
- 2+ years hands-on experience with high-speed interface systems and lab measurements
- Experience with high-speed interfaces and analog building blocks
- Programming knowledge in Python and C/C++
- Strong debugging skills
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.3 and OIF specifications
- Experience with Signal integrity, DSP, and communication systems
