Software Development Intern

Cisco is seeking a Software Development Intern to join their dynamic engineering team in Portugal. This is a one-year internship following Cisco's hybrid work policy, starting July 2025. The role offers full-time work during summer (July-September 2025) with the possibility to transition to part-time (minimum 24h/week).

The intern will work alongside experienced developers on real-world projects across various teams including Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Security and Trust. This position offers hands-on experience in developing next-generation software innovations in cloud, desktop, and security spaces.

The ideal candidate will be a final-year university student passionate about building software that solves real-world problems. They should have strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript, experience with Git, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The role involves developing software and tools for infrastructure and technology platforms, working with applications, operating systems, databases, and cloud-based tools.
