Cisco is seeking a Technical Consulting Engineer for their Enterprise (DNAC/SDA) team. This role involves providing expert-level technical services worldwide, both remotely and on-site, for SDA/DNA Solution customers and partners. The position is part of the Cisco Support Services group, which offers support for customers globally.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, particularly in support environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering expert-level technical assistance and troubleshooting for critical customer issues
- Applying analytical skills to solve complex product and network problems
- Utilizing lab setups to recreate and solve problems
- Submitting software defect reports
- Providing systems/product training to internal and external stakeholders
- Documenting all actions taken to resolve customer issues
Required skills:
- 5+ years of experience with DNAC/SDA
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix (Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of applications such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
- Basic networking skills (switching/routing/wireless)
- Understanding of YANG models and configuration management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills:
- Programming/scripting skills (preferably Python)
- Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems using Java/Cloud environments
- Exposure to Cisco Wireless products or Catalyst platforms
- Understanding of Campus Architectures, SDN, and NFV
- CCNA/CCNP certification
