Senior Analytics Engineer

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their team in building the emerging onchain platform and future global financial system. The role bridges the gap between data engineering, data science, and business analytics by building scalable, impactful data solutions.

The Analytics Engineering team is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights through robust pipelines and well-designed data models. They develop and maintain foundational data models that serve as the single source of truth for analytics across the organization, while empowering stakeholders by translating business requirements into scalable solutions.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll:

• Build subject matter expertise in specific business areas and data domains
• Interface with stakeholders to deliver commercial value from data
• Develop new abstractions and frameworks for scalable data workflows
• Work with engineering and product teams to deliver data pipelines and insights
• Design and maintain modular, reusable data models
• Create and optimize prompts for LLMs
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Python skills, expertise in data modeling, experience with modern data warehouse architectures, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
