Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Consumer Products)

The position sits within the Consumer Product Group, which is dedicated to making the Coinbase retail app the most user-friendly and efficient cryptocurrency experience available. Their 2024 goal is to become the #1 self-custody wallet measured by MTUs and download share. The team works on a suite of products including the Coinbase app, advance trade, dapps, and staking.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years specifically in web app development using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React. They should be well-versed in front-end architecture best practices, including performance, security, and usability considerations. Experience with product and design lifecycles is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and product managers.

Key responsibilities include designing secure blockchain integration services, building user interfaces for digital currency applications, implementing new cryptocurrency functionalities, and developing secure storage and transaction services. The role requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to contribute positively to team dynamics.
