Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Platform - Observability)

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team, specifically focusing on Platform Observability. This role is crucial in reinventing the observability stack as Coinbase continues to scale 10X-100X. The Infrastructure organization supports the foundational systems, services, and tooling that enables Coinbase's mission to increase economic freedom.

The role involves improving observability, reliability, and availability through metric definition and measurement, building automation to eliminate operational toil, and collaborating with core infrastructure teams on performance tuning and cloud deployment optimization. You'll work with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and EC2, while also partnering with product teams to reduce service disruptions and automate incident response.
