Staff Backend Engineer (Remote)

CoinTracker is revolutionizing cryptocurrency portfolio tracking and tax compliance, making it simple and accessible for everyone. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you'll join our mission-driven team working on complex technical challenges that impact millions of users.

Our platform currently tracks over $50B in cryptocurrency (5% of the crypto market) and has generated over 1M tax forms. We've established strong partnerships with industry leaders like Coinbase, H&R Block, Intuit TurboTax, MetaMask, OpenSea, and others.

You'll be tackling significant technical challenges including:

• Managing billions of data points for transactions and market prices
• Implementing sophisticated algorithms for transfer detection and tax optimization
• Scaling systems to handle users with millions of annual transactions
• Working with blockchain technology, including running nodes and parsing smart contracts
• Integrating with hundreds of exchanges and supporting thousands of cryptocurrencies

As Staff Backend Engineer, you'll:

• Architect and scale backend systems for millions of users
• Lead critical technical projects focusing on scalability and reliability
• Design complex data processing pipelines and distributed systems
• Collaborate across teams to align technical execution with business goals
• Mentor engineers and establish technical standards
